I remember when TJ called me asking when my parents would be home and I immediately knew it was gonna happen, he was gonna propose!! I asked him and he confirmed it.. I remember being at the salon and I was screaming without a care in the world where I was.. So about my sister, I met her at Jericho Hospital the day she was born lol and from that day, we've been a force to reckon with. She has a heart of gold, she loves the Lord and serves Him diligently. She's my baby sis, my twin, my headache, my cloth stealer, my dancing partner, my mother's other daughter, my doctor! I have no doubt you and TJ are meant for each other, y'all have dated for too long lol it's about time we get y'all married!! Saranghae Noona xoxo

I recall meeting Tolu at URI back in summer of 2006, where we stayed in the same hall. She was this smart, skinny, sassy girl...lets be real, she still is. She didn't realize I was Nigerian at first until I told her my name is Adejoke. Hahaha. Long story short, she was so enamored by yours truly and just couldn't stay away from me since then. 11 years later and she still just can't get rid of me. LOL. On a serious note, I was there from day 1 of ToluTope and I am incredibly excited for this big step in their relationship. May God bless their upcoming union. So proud of you my Dongsaeng ;-).

It was a hot summer day when I met the lovely lady Adewusi. I had just graduated from college and was working at the NIH in Research Triangle Park in North Carolina (NC). I was new to the area and didn’t know anybody. As all people who go to Redeem churches do, I decided to look up the closest one in my area. Anyways cut the long story short somehow, someway Kemi introduced me to the lovely lady. She called me immediately rambling on. You would think that she had met me in a different life and we had been friends forever. She was super friendly and so overly nice (lol). I remember thinking to myself how can someone be so energetically nice and outgoing to someone they never met before (hahaha). Then again, Tolu is one of the best of our kind. It took me a few seconds to warm up to her but let’s just say once I did, there was no going back. Throughout my summer in NC we hung out after work, travelled to Atlanta together and even became roommates for a little while. Even after my time in NC, we remained very good friends, sharing our dreams and plans for the future and making each other laugh. I am glad to call Tolu my friend and Mr. Teejay is definitely super lucky to have found a lady that is God fearing, caring, loving, friendly, and kind. I pray that as you embark on the journey of LIFE together, God will ordain your steps and perfect all that concerns the two of you. Thank you for choosing me as one of your maidens Tolu, I can’t wait to celebrate with you and your mister.

Faith and I met at the beginning of our time as students in UConn School of Dental Medicine. I am so thankful that I have been fortunate enough to have Faith as my classmate because now she is practically a sister to me. Our friendship has been one of the best things that has happened in my life during the last three years of dental school and I couldn’t have made it this far without all of her support and positive attitude. Faith never fails to help me put a banana (i.e. smile) on my face and find the good in things. Through the rollercoaster ride of dental school and life, Faith is always there for me. She is truly a blessing and a forever friend. I can’t wait to see where life takes her and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of her and TJ’s special day.

I met Tolu because her family was actually one of the first families my family met when we first moved to America. With that said, I have basically known her my whole life and she has become like a sister to me. Since I’m taller than her, she is more like a small big sister lol! Now that she is marrying Tj who happens to be my brother, I guess it was all meant to be. The funny thing is that being young nobody ever told me anything, so it took me a while to actually figure out that they were dating. Although I was initially kept out of the loop, I still approve! My brother is lucky to have her because not only is she ambitious, selfless, so smart, she makes him a better man! To think if our families were not both standing in front of Mr.Johnson’s store these relationships would have never formed. Welcome to the family officially Tolu!
